Family Guy will return in the fall with a Star Wars tribute

Whoo HOO! Just saw this:

Scheduled to return in September the sixth season of Family Guy will premiere with an hour-long episode of a special recap of the Star Wars saga using Family Guy characters.

And if that doesn’t get you twitterpated enough, then why not try a few Star Wars/Family Guy parodies on for size.

An interesting review of Family Guy from down under

Metaphorically, it seems all cartoon writers with prime-time aspirations are Groenings now: which is to say, it’s near impossible to imagine any new mass-market cartoon emerging that didn’t boast some Simpsons-esque combination of hapless heroes, pop-culture-centred wisecracks and apropos-of-nothing tangents.
